Sending a command
In the Vodafone Business Managed IoT Connectivity Platform, you can send an SMS command to a single SIM by following the steps below. This feature allows you to send SMS commands like Reboot or APN switch to a device.
As elsewhere on the platform, your ability to do this depends on your authorisation level. To enable this feature, you must also first enable the device TAC on the platform (only works on devices with IMEI).
To send a command to a single SIM
From the menu on the left of the Vodafone Business Managed IoT Connectivity Platform Dashboard or home page, select SIMs.
This takes you to the SIM List, where you can select a SIM to view the SIM Details window.
Choose Single SIM Operation – Send Command from the dropdown menu that appears when you click on New Action in the top right corner of the SIM Details window. (This action can also be performed by clicking on … next to the name of the SIM in the SIM List.)
Once you have chosen the command you want to send, simply click on Save in the top right corner of the window to save your changes.
