Using the Dashboard
Welcome to the Vodafone Internet of Things (IoT) service, which enables IoT devices to communicate with your central system, mainly using packet-switched data, but also supporting messaging services, circuit-switched data, and voice calls.
On the Vodafone Business Managed IoT Connectivity Platform Dashboard or home page, you will find the main platform menu, from where you can navigate to sections such as SIMs, Saved Searches, Operations, and Exports, as well as the Legacy M2M Portal and the Release Notes for the current version of the platform.
You can also see different widgets displaying relevant information on:
- Total SIMs
- Service usage
- Active Service Profiles
- Saved searches
- Operations
- Top Serving Networks
- Top 5 Serving Countries Data Usage
For each Dashboard widget – except the Saved searches widget – you will need to select the organisation for which you wish to view data. You can do this via the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the widget:
The organisation you select for each of the widgets will then be saved for future use, even if you log out or navigate away to a different page. However, this selection is linked to the user role you are using at the time. So, if you have multiple user roles, you will need to select an organisation for each of your roles. This will then also be saved for future use, meaning you will see the relevant organisational data for the role you are using at the time.
It is also from the Dashboard that you can access the Legacy M2M Portal/Device Management Portal and change your user preferences to view the platform in the language of your choice. At present, the languages available are English, Italian, German, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
As elsewhere on the platform, you will only see the data your User Service Profile allows you to see.
