Setting APN credentials

Access Point Name (APN) is the name for the settings the mobile device reads to establish a connection between a mobile network and another network, set are at the provisioning profile level.

You can configure an APN username and password for a specific SIM within the Vodafone Business Managed IoT Connectivity Platform by following the steps below. Once set, the credentials will work with all the APNs to which the device can connect.

To set APN credentials

  1. From the menu on the left of the Vodafone Business Managed IoT Connectivity Platform Dashboard or home page, select SIMs.

  2. This takes you to the SIM List, where you can select a SIM to view the SIM Details window.

  3. Choose Single SIM Operation - Set APN credentials from the dropdown menu that appears when you click on New Action in the top right corner of the SIM Details window. (This action can also be performed by clicking on … next to the name of the SIM in the SIM List.)

  4. Once you have chosen a username and a password for the SIM, simply click on Save in the top right corner of the window to save your changes. You will then be asked to enter a two-factor authentication code received by SMS to confirm the changes.
