SIMs

Within the Vodafone Business Managed IoT Connectivity Platform , each individual SIM can be identified using two numbers, which function as unique keys:

1. International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) is a unique number that identifies each device or SIM card on the network. It works across the various generations of wireless mobile phone technology. IMSI allows the SIM to access the network and identifies the device location. The IMSI number is usually 15 digits long. The first three digits are the country code, followed by two or three digits identifying the particular mobile network.

2. Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID) is unique for each SIM. You can use it for SIM identification and tracking purposes. Up to 20 characters are reserved for the ICCID. The coding of the ICCID is operator-specific. If the IMSI is hidden, the ICCID becomes the primary identifier.

You can use the portal to manage the SIMs in your organisation thanks to a range of features designed to help you find the data you need. When searching for data on your SIMs, you can also refine your search or save it for later use.

As elsewhere on the platform, you will only be able to see the data your User Service Profile allows you to see.

Here, we run through the various features you can use to make light work of managing your SIMs.
